Job summary

Jobot, a well-established US-based manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to design, develop, and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in our manufacturing processes. This role focuses on optimizing production, improving quality, and reducing costs while contributing to a fast-paced, innovative team.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and design groups, lead tooling improvement initiatives, and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of tooling design and development experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing processes using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement tooling solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Conduct tooling feasibility studies and present findings to management.
• Lead tooling improvement initiatives, including cost reduction and process optimization projects.
• Conduct regular inspections of tooling and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot tooling problems and implement effective solutions.
• Provide technical support and training to production staff on tooling and equipment use.
• Stay current with latest tooling technologies, trends, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain tooling documentation, including design specifications, manuals, and maintenance logs.
