Job summary

Trinity Learning Center in Farragut is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to implement a play-based curriculum, plan activities, and manage daily classroom operations in a Christian preschool setting.

The role works with an Assistant Teacher, meets Mondays and Wednesdays (with potential for extra days as a substitute), from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Candidates should have strong communication, teamwork, and a dedication to child development and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others and foster a team environment.
• CDA or higher preferred but not required.
• Possess or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Clear background check and health screening.
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat and lift 40 pounds.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to follow TLC policies, dress code, team philosophy and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities.
• Plan individual and group activities to engage children and support development.
• Maintain communications with parents through progress reports and conferences.
• Care for children's needs in a loving, nurturing environment.
• Ensure center policies and state regulations are met.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and security of children.
• Communicate expectations to staff assisting the class.
• Maintain records, forms and files.
• Pursue personal professional development for quality improvement.
