Trinity Learning Center in Farragut is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to implement a play-based curriculum, plan activities, and manage daily classroom operations in a Christian preschool setting.

The role works with an Assistant Teacher, meets Mondays and Wednesdays (with potential for extra days as a substitute), from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Candidates should have strong communication, teamwork, and a dedication to child development and safety.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others and foster a team environment.
• CDA or higher preferred but not required.
• Possess or willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Clear background check and health screening.
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat and lift 40 pounds.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to follow TLC policies, dress code, team philosophy and punctuality.

About This Role

Trinity Learning Center in Farragut is looking for a new Lead Toddler Teacher to add to our school family. The Lead Teacher is responsible for following a play-based curriculum, lesson planning and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment. Teachers will create an environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively work with the teaching team and resolve parental concerns. The Teacher works directly with an Assistant Teacher. TLC is a Christian preschool in which staff should uphold Christian values and teach them to children. Patience and kindness are a must.

This position is for a class that meets on Mondays and Wednesdays. Staff would be able to work additional days by subbing for other staff members.

Work hours are 8:30-2:30 daily.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences
• Care for children's needs and provide a loving, nurturing environment
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
• Communicate clear expectations and guidance to other staff working to aide your class
• Maintain accurate records, forms and files
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
• A strong understanding of child development (CDA or higher preferred but not required)
• Possess (or willingness to obtain) a current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
• Will be required to kneel, bend, squat and lift 40 pounds
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to follow all TLC policies, including dress code, team philosophy, and punctuality
