We're excited to welcome a caring and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to our team! In this role, you'll have the wonderful opportunity to create fun and engaging activities that help our little ones grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially.

As our Lead Toddler Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the children's safety, keeping parents in the loop about their child's progress, and maintaining our teaching resources. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Ensures that the physical, social and emotional needs of the children are met daily.
  2. Ensures all policies and procedures to keep the children healthy and safe are being implemented.
  3. Creates activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children through well-defined interest areas.
  4. Assists and supervises children during all activities.
  5. Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained, in accordance with the NAEYC cleaning and sanitizing guidelines.
  6. Completes all Academy and classroom paperwork, such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports.
  7. Attends and participates in staff meetings, Academy events and parent meetings, as requested.
  8. Prepares and implements classroom lesson plans, programs and schedules.
  9. Develops, plans and prepares instructional aids and/or materials for classroom activities.
  10. Assists children with meal times and cleanup.
  11. Ensures that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly.
  12. Directs activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner.
  13. Interacts with parents and maintains open communication to encourage family engagement.
  14. Maintains the Family Information Board and other classroom bulletin boards.
  15. Schedules and conducts parent and teacher conferences throughout the year.
  16. Ensures that all licensing regulations are being followed as required by the state.
  17. Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds to at least waist high on a consistent basis throughout the workday.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Accepts temporary work assignments in the event regularly scheduled personnel is not available.
  2. Assists with planning and implementing Academy-wide events.
  3. Meets with prospective families; communicates appropriately with potential new customers.
  4. Assists in evaluating personnel within the classroom.
  5. Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Must meet all state and local licensing requirements for the position.
  2. Candidate must pass all state medical requirements and have a clear background check to qualify for employment.
  3. All employees must receive the required amount of training hours each calendar year per state licensing requirements.
