Job Description: Lead Toddler Teacher with Crystal's Cuddle Bugs Childcare Program

Are you a passionate and experienced early childhood educator looking for an opportunity to lead and inspire young minds? Crystal's Cuddle Bugs Childcare Program is seeking dedicated individuals with a strong background in early childhood education to join our team as a Toddler Lead Teacher. As a Toddler Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment, guiding and mentoring staff, and fostering a love of learning in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Classroom Leadership: Lead and manage a classroom of young learners aged 2-3 years, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment.
2. Curriculum Development: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support social, emotional, and cognitive development.
3. Supervision and Mentoring: Support assistant teachers and aides, fostering a positive work environment.
4. Child Assessment: Observe and assess children's progress, identifying needs and developing growth strategies.
5. Parent Communication: Maintain strong partnerships with parents and guardians, informing them of progress and activities.
6. Team Collaboration: Work with other lead teachers and administrators for smooth program operation.
7. Classroom Management: Implement effective techniques to promote positive behavior and resolve conflicts.
8. Safety and Compliance: Follow safety regulations, maintain a clean and secure environment.
9. ASL: Learn and use American Sign Language as an effective communication tool for young learners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Associate's degree or 28 credits in relevant fields will be considered.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential accepted in lieu of formal education.
• 2+ years experience in early childhood education preferred.
• Knowledge of child development theories and best practices.
• Ability to create nurturing, stimulating environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for early childhood education and development.
• Motivational skills for staff and students.

Additional Information:

Compensation ranges from $18.85 to $22.56/hour, based on experience and education. New hires start within $18.85 to $21.50/hour, depending on qualifications.
