Play Time Early Childhood Enrichment Center is seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our exceptional team.
As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom where young children can build confidence, develop new skills, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. You will lead classroom curriculum, partner with families, and inspire children through hands-on exploration and meaningful interactions.
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers
Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and independence
Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development
Conduct ongoing observations and assessments of children's growth and progress
Communicate regularly with families regarding milestones, achievements, and daily activities
Maintain classroom documentation and child assessments using Teaching Strategies GOLD
Collaborate with administrators and teaching team members
Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
Follow all center policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, CDA, or CPL Level 3 in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an early childhood setting
Thorough understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate learning practices
Current or willingness to obtain required ODJFS certifications:
CPR
First Aid
Child Abuse Recognition and Prevention
Communicable Disease Training
Ability to complete 20 hours of approved Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) training annually
Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills
A positive, patient, and energetic attitude
