Job summary

Bright Horizons at Purchase is seeking a Lead Educator to guide a toddlers classroom and mentor colleagues. The role includes 30 hours in-classroom teaching and 10 hours of administrative work, with a schedule from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

You will lead curriculum delivery, ensure developmentally appropriate activities, and collaborate with families while supporting a team of teachers in a loss-free environment that emphasizes anti-bias education.

Qualifications

• CDA with an educational plan to complete an associate degree is required.
• Associate or higher degree in early childhood education or child development is highly preferred.
• At least three years of professional teaching experience in quality child care/preschool settings is required.
• NAEYC center experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with anti-bias philosophy.
• Be a curriculum expert and use quality tools to enhance program implementation.
• Partner with families, mentor new teachers, and model best practices for the team.

Education
