Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Staff Thin Film Process Development Engineer to develop and own advanced CVD/PECVD/ALD/PEALD deposition processes for next-generation semiconductor technologies.

You will translate integration requirements into film properties, design experiments, and drive complex problems to solution. The role requires hands-on deposition expertise, collaboration with multiple teams, and leadership in process development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 6+ years in the semiconductor industry
• Hands-on experience with ALD/CVD/PECVD/PEALD or similar thin-film methods
• Strong understanding of thin-film deposition fundamentals and device integration
• Experience collaborating across semiconductor process modules to resolve challenges

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and own advanced thin-film deposition processes using CVD, PECVD, ALD, PEALD, or related technologies
• Translate device requirements into measurable film properties and process specifications
• Design experiments/DOEs to identify process mechanisms and sources of variation
• Drive development from feasibility to integration and validation in test structures
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with patterning, etch, metrology, and process integration teams
