Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Senior Thermal Analyst to lead the system-level thermal analysis for the Thermal Subsystem of the Lunar Permanence program. You will own thermal models, work with cross-functional teams, and drive design recommendations based on temperature predictions across mission phases.

The role requires a strong background in Thermal Desktop/Sinda, first-principle heat transfer, and extensive experience with spacecraft hardware.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 10 years of relevant Thermal Analysis experience using Thermal Desktop/Sinda.
• Advanced knowledge of first-principle heat transfer and its application to spaceflight systems.
• In-depth knowledge of spacecraft thermal hardware and performance.
• Expert-level proficiency in thermal analysis using Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint.
• Experience in thermal system requirement verification via analysis products.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level thermal analysis for the Thermal Subsystem.
• Own delivery of thermal analyses for the spacecraft system and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain modeling standards and system model integration.
• Mentor and guide early-career analysis engineers.
• Document results and present at reviews.
• Enforce model version control for consistent predictions.
