Job summary

AeroVironment, based in California, is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to provide coordinated communications integration for THAAD with KSA and UAE leads. You will guide systems engineering for the THAAD weapon system with international partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 10+ years of experience, an Active Secret clearance, and THAAD/MILSATCOM proficiency. You will lead design reviews, document findings, and present to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Experience with THAAD system.
• Experience with DoD MILSATCOM.
• Ability to present to senior management.
• Strong independent work and team leadership.
• Familiarity with MDA/THAAD program office.
• Knowledge of system engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems and interoperability engineering, analysis, and guidance for THAAD with international partners.
• Assist Engineering Lead with managing technical aspects of force design work.
• Assist with international Tactical Data Link Architecture and attend data link conferences.
• Collaborate on force design with external agencies.
• Identify deficiencies in design reviews and propose fixes.
• Document and communicate findings for senior decision makers.
• Participate in regular and ad hoc force design meetings.
