Job summary

Apex TK is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to provide coordinated communications integration support for THAAD with international partners. The role reports to the Engineering Lead and involves engineering oversight of force design and data-link activities in collaboration with multiple external stakeholders.

The position requires deep THAAD/MILSATCOM knowledge, 10+ years of DoD experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to brief senior management.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Technical understanding and experience with THAAD.
• Experience with DoD terrestrial and satellite communication systems (MILSATCOM).
• Ability to develop and present reports to senior management; strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to work independently or lead teams to analyze and resolve problems.
• Familiarity with MDA/BMDS/THAAD Program Office work.
• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems and interoperability engineering for THAAD with international partners.
• Assist Engineering Lead with managing technical aspects of force design work
• Participate in international Tactical Data Link discussions and data link conferences
• Coordinate force design efforts across multiple external agencies
• Identify deficiencies in design reviews and propose fixes
• Document and communicate technical findings to senior decision makers
• participate in regular/adhoc force design meetings and exchanges
