Job summary

APEX TK LLC is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to provide interoperable THAAD engineering support with international partners. You will guide force design activities, coordinate data link architectures, and present findings to senior leadership.

You have 10+ years in defense systems, a relevant engineering degree (advanced degree preferred), and an active secret clearance. Expect leadership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Technical understanding and experience with THAAD.
• Experience with MILSATCOM terrestrial and satellite systems.
• Develop and present reports and presentations to senior management; excellent written and verbal skills.
• Works independently and/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems.
• Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and THAAD Program Office.
• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems and interoperability engineering, guidance regarding THAAD with international partners.
• Assist Engineering Lead with managing technical aspects of all force design work.
• Assist with international Tactical Data Link Architecture and attend data link conferences.
• Coordinate on force design efforts with external agencies and stakeholders.
• Identify deficiencies in design reviews and propose fixes.
• Document and communicate interim and final technical findings for senior decision makers.
• Participate in regular and ad hoc force design meetings and technical exchanges.
