Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking an engineering professional to resolve complex problems. You will lead teams to install and upgrade Ground Control Stations for GA-ASI Unmanned Aerial Systems and coordinate project segments with customers and engineering staff.

Under supervision, you will work with Senior/Lead Engineers to design modifications, analyze data, document findings, and present results. DoD security clearance is required; PE license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Broad understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory.
• Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional Engineering License is desirable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to install/upgrade Ground Control Stations for GA-ASI Unmanned Aerial Systems and related troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Senior and Lead Engineers to develop new designs and modify existing systems to meet project goals.
• Support GCS Project Engineering in analysis, investigation and resolution of engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Follow general instructions and suggestions outlining approaches, sources, and potential problems.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of equipment and systems in Ground Control Station designs using standard engineering and scientific principles.
• Obtain and analyze test data and requirements; develop/modify test procedures for production and field environments.
• Document findings and implemented solutions; comply with all applicable laws and company obligations.
