Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a senior engineer to collaborate with engineering teams, plan and execute flight test campaigns, and validate system performance across unmanned aircraft programs.

You will design and implement flight test instrumentation, configure data acquisition systems (KAM-500, Safran XMA, LabVIEW cRIO), analyze results, prepare technical reports, and travel as required while maintaining security clearance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and 9+ years of experience in engineering.
• Expertise in flight test instrumentation and test principles.
• Proven project management and workload coordination.
• Strong communication and leadership across departments.
• Experience with flight test instrumentation systems is desirable.
• Willingness to travel and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute flight test campaigns.
• Design flight test instrumentation systems and software.
• Configure and troubleshoot data acquisition systems.
• Install and sustain flight test hardware and software at multiple GA locations.
• Collaborate with SMEs on analysis windows and displays.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Observe laws and safety procedures.
• Travel as required.
