Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of computing systems, operating systems, networking, and distributed systems.
• Experience with infrastructure technologies, server OS, virtualization, and automation.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently or in teams.
• DoD security clearance is required.
• Professional certifications in infrastructure, OS, networking, or cloud are desirable.
• EIT certificate desirable where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering knowledge to analyze and resolve infrastructure and systems problems.
• Designs, deploys, and maintains infrastructure systems including servers and virtualization platforms.
• Performs functional testing, validation, and troubleshooting of infrastructure and software.
• Documents findings and communicates results to project staff.
• Monitors system performance and performs root-cause analysis for issues.
• Implements upgrades and automation to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Develops technical documentation and contributes to planning and design of infrastructure systems.
• Provides technical guidance to junior staff and supports system deployment and maintenance.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information related to architecture and security.
