Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a US-Lead Test Engineering Technician in Grand Rapids, MI. This role leads the design, setup, and execution of development and qualification tests for electromechanical actuation products, directing soldering, circuit assembly, and troubleshooting of test hardware.

You will read engineering drawings and schematics, operate inspection and test equipment, and drive TPM-based safety and efficiency in the laboratory environment. 5–9 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related field, or years of applicable experience.
• 5–9 years of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic hands‑on experience.
• Proven soldering capabilities and test plan execution.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, modify, and support advanced test systems for development and qualification testing.
• Wire, solder, assemble, and troubleshoot circuit boards, actuators, and test panels.
• Develop test setups and execute mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and environmental tests per plans and standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810).
• Utilize lab instrumentation and measurement equipment (O-scope, DMM, function generators, data acquisition, transducers).
• Maintain and improve the lab, test equipment, TPM programs, and lab safety.
