Job summary

Amentum seeks a Test Engineer - Lead in Springfield, VA to lead a small team responsible for testing DoW capabilities and evaluating new technologies. You will develop test concepts, plans, and reports while coordinating resources for field and lab environments.

The role emphasizes strong analytical, written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple technical projects in a fast-paced, mission-focused setting. Occasional travel and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• US Citizenship required to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field with 6+ years of experience, or 8+ years without degree.
• Experience in Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E).

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Test Plans, Evaluation Plans, and Test Reports per DoW standards.
• Supervise the T&E team and develop all work products and deliverables.
• Plan and coordinate resources for test events across facilities and locations.
• Apply STAT to test systems for significant statistical results.
• Develop and maintain a Capstone TEMP and other T&E strategy documents.
• Support requirements development, traceability, and verification processes.
