Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Test Engineer - Lead in Springfield, VA. You will develop, administer, and supervise a comprehensive test and evaluation program, leading a small team supporting a DoW customer.

The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, plus the ability to deploy to CONUS/OCONUS locations for short missions and to manage multiple technical projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field with years of related experience
Experience in Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E)
Leadership and project management experience
Strong analytical and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and MATLAB/Simulink

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver Test Plans, Evaluation Plans, Test Schedules, and Test Reports per DoW standards
Supervise daily T&E team activities and deliverables
Plan and coordinate resources for test events (facilities, locations, personnel)
Apply STAT to test systems for meaningful statistical results
Identify issues and define Measures of Effectiveness and Performance
Develop and maintain a TEMP and TES for projects and readiness goals
Review requirements documents and support design reviews
Support requirements development, traceability, and verification
Build relationships with government and industry partners for testing
Lead a training plan for the T&E team to adopt latest standards
Promote modeling and simulation tools to optimize resources
