Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a lead test automation engineer to drive software qualification across SIL and HIL testing, shaping the automation strategy and testing roadmap. You will design and maintain automated frameworks, analyze failures, and collaborate with developers to close gaps, while reporting metrics and guiding risk assessments.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 2 years in system-level software testing and automation.
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated software testing environments and frameworks.
Proficiency in Python, Java, and/or C/C++ for test automation; experience with Pytest and JUnit.
Experience with CI/build processes using Git/SVN, Jenkins, Bazel; root-cause analysis and debugging of test failures.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, development, and execution reporting for software qualification at SIL/HIL testing levels.
Establish scalable test automation processes; align testing roadmap with leadership goals.
Develop, maintain, and improve automated test scripts and frameworks; investigate failures and drive improvements.
Mentor a team of test automation engineers and report software quality metrics to leadership.
