Job summary

Blackstone Talent Group is seeking a Mid-level Software Test Automation Engineer to join our Client's team in Reston, VA. The role involves leading a team, shaping the automation strategy, and managing the framework while coordinating with engineers, DevOps, analysts, and developers to validate complex software releases.

The candidate will create automated test scripts using Selenium and JMeter, perform/oversee test planning, and report results to the project manager.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual functional, regression, usability, integration, remote access, and accessibility testing.
• Experience developing automation scripts from scratch with programming code (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
• Experience developing an automation framework from scratch.
• Experience with web services testing and SQL/DB back-end testing.
• Ability to create test plans, test cases, and test summary reports; estimate level of effort.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of test automation engineers and the test automation strategy.
• Manage the automation framework and test plans, including peer reviews and test reports.
• Develop automated and performance test scripts using Selenium, JMeter, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with clients and testers to communicate defects and support UAT during releases.
