Job summary

A strategic IT consulting firm in Herndon, Virginia is seeking a Test Engineer. This role requires expertise in software testing and quality assurance to support Federal Government projects. The ideal candidate will lead testing efforts and contribute to developing automated solutions. Candidates should hold a relevant degree and possess substantial experience in software testing and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications

• Masters degree and 3+ years experience OR Bachelor's and 6+ years experience.
• 3+ years relevant software testing experience.
• 3+ years experience with quality assurance processes.
• 3+ years experience with defect tracking software.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Experience working in the Federal Government preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirement design and implementation of IT solutions.
• Assist Project Manager in customer technical standards.
• Develop Technical Concept of Operations documents.
• Assist client staff with IT solutions setup.
• Design and implement custom software solutions.
• Provide quality oversight for the team.
