Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Commercial & Investment Banking Test Integration and Implementation Payments Technology Team in Plano, TX. You will drive end-to-end test automation for onboarding clients, build secure testing code, and guide AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.

You will mentor automation testers, work with senior stakeholders, and ensure resilient, scalable software delivery within a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, Java, or Playwright.
• Experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, security, and resiliency in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Drive end-to-end test automation for the Digital Onboarding team for new and existing clients.
• Develop secure, high-quality testing code; review and debug others' code.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and speed.
• Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding and automated testing.
• Use SDLC tools and AI capabilities to improve automation value.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring remediation and improve stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions on architectural designs and applicability within existing systems.
