Job summary

UPMC Office of Referring Physician Relations is seeking a Lead Telephone Operator for a full-time, hybrid role in the Pittsburgh area. You will act as the main contact for the public and hospital departments, train other operators, and schedule switchboard coverage.

Responsibilities include disaster procedure maintenance, staff relief coverage, and ensuring high-quality call handling. The position requires 3 years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work all

Job description

UPMC Office of Referring Physician Relations is looking for a full time Lead Telephone Operator to join their dedicated team!

The Lead Telephone Operator, serves as main point of contact with the public and with all hospital departments in routine as well as emergency situations. Acts as a resource for other telephone operators, trains new operators and schedules switchboard coverage. You will answer inbound calls for Pittsburgh area hospitals, to connect patients and offices.

This is a hybrid role, which does require in office time, as well as some work from home. Hours will be 2pm to 10pm, with rotating holidays.
