Lead Technician, Quality Assurance (Onsite)

Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Technician (QAT) provides leadership in ensuring the quality of assembly and build processes according to ISO9001:2015 guidelines and Collins Aerospace internal standards. The focus is on identifying nonconformances through inspections and audits, preventing defects via risk assessments, corrective actions, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate products and processes, participate in cross-functional corrective actions.
• Maintain quality data and prepare reports.
• Review and disposition of nonconforming processes, including First Article inspections.
• Apply quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
• Perform workmanship, hardware, software, and system acceptance tests.
• Conduct audits and report results, monitor follow-up actions.
• Maintain equipment calibration and tooling systems.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree with at least 8 years relevant experience.
• U.S. Person as defined by regulations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Quality Assurance, SAP, ASQ Certifications.
• Knowledge of metrics, databases, statistical analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong organizational, communication, and people skills.
