Job summary

VARITE INC. is seeking a Lead Technician - Engineering in Wilmington, DE 19803. This onsite role requires extensive machining experience and CNC programming to fabricate prototype parts.

The candidate will set up operations and interpret design intent within a team focused on customer satisfaction. Qualifications include 10+ years in machine shop, knowledge of CAD, and TRAC CNC familiarity. Technical School preferred, but not required.

• Experience with TRAC CNC equipment.

Pay Range

$25.00/hr. to $28.16/hr. on W2

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO

Responsibilities:

• Provide parts manufacturing leadership, experience and knowledge required to fabricate specified prototype machine parts.
• Emphasis of this position is the ability to leverage knowledge and experience to set up machine operations, program tool paths, interpret models and understand specified design intent.
• Working as part of a team with a focus on customer satisfaction is an important expectation of this role.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience and sound working knowledge of modern machining processes as well as conventional machining tools.
• Experience programming CNC machines, inputting the design specifications and ensuring the machine performs as required.
• Experience planning and creating holding fixtures, selecting cutting tools and securing materials onto shop machines.
• Experience adjusting machine settings to optimize part quality.
• Working knowledge of current CAD software packages and file types.
• Technical School preferred, not required.
• Required- 10 or more years machine shop experience.
• Experience with Manual Machine Shop tools, Bridgeport, tool room lathe etc.
• Experience with TRAC CNC equipment.
