Job summary

Pavlov Media seeks a Deployment Lead to supervise field deployments of network and video systems, directing others and making quick decisions. Safety-focused, organized, and able to travel 80% for outside plant work and installations.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in data/video deployment, LVC or fiber projects, with strong tool skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality standards at all sites.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in low-voltage cabling and electronics installation.
• Strong time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to changes in processes and priorities.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Minimum of four years in data/video deployment, LVC, fiber installations, or construction management.
• Willingness to travel 80% of the time.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites to perform outside plant work, cabling installations, and startup/commissioning.
• Meet project milestone schedules on construction sites.
• Read and reference project plans provided by architects and Pavlov Media.
• Interface with Project Management for site progress updates.
• Ensure build quality aligns with Pavlov Media standards.
• Pull and terminate low-voltage wiring for data, phone, and video.
• Test cables, networks, and video systems to identify issues.
• Install support structures, fiber optic cable, and wireless APs.

Job Description

The Deployment Lead (Lead Technician) is responsible for deploying network and video systems to company standards. The Deployment Lead has a solid background operating in the field. With proven leadership skills and extensive experience this position is depended on to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. Deployment Leads must be well organized and favor safety above everything else.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned sites as needed to perform outside plant work, low-voltage cabling installations, electronics installation, and startup/commissioning.
• Meet project milestone schedules on each construction site.
• Read, understand, reference, and utilize project construction plans and documents provided by architects, consultants, and Pavlov Media.
• Interface directly with Project Management to provide detailed site progress updates.
• Ensure build quality aligns with Pavlov Media standards.
• Pull and terminate low-voltage wiring for data, phone, and video networks.
• Test cable, network, and video systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Install support structures (ladders, racks, J-hooks), structured wiring panels, fiber optic cable, and wireless access points.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in low-voltage cabling (LVC) and electronics installation.
• Professional communication skills, demeanor, and appearance.
• Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt easily to changes in processes, procedures, and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Minimum of four (4) years of successful experience in data and/or video deployment, LVC, fiber installations, and/or construction management.
• Willingness to travel 80% of the time.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a drug test.

Physical Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation:

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is: $25.00-$37.50

Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience. Pavlov Media is committed to complying with the Equal Pay Act and places a strong emphasis on internal equity when determining compensation. Final pay will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and alignment with our internal equity standards, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization. The salary banding for this role also allows room for growth, with opportunities for pay increases within the band based on performance and contributions.
