Security 101 – New Jersey is recruiting a Lead Commercial Security Technician with experience in installing, programming, and servicing CCTV, IP cameras, access control, intrusion detection, and visitor management. You will work on enterprise security systems across various sites in New Jersey.

The role includes leading project installations, ensuring quality control, and delivering excellent customer service. A valid driver's license and strong networking knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the electronic security industry.
• Minimum of 3 years installing and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems and intrusion alarms.
• Minimum of 2 years programming experience.
• Must be process oriented with good communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of internet and networking is essential.
• Must be able to work independently and resolve customer issues.

Job Title: Lead Electronic Security Technician

Job Summary

Security 101 – New Jersey is now recruiting a Lead Commercial Security Technician that has experience installing programming and servicing commercial electronic security devices primarily CCTV, Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems and overall security systems.

Hourly wage varies from $35.00 to $45.00, non-exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience.

Skills & Abilities

• Must have 10 yrs in the electronic security industry and a minimum of 3 years’ experience installing, and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems and intrusion alarm systems.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ programming experience.
• Must be process oriented, with good communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking is essential.
• Must be able to work independently and resolve problems to our customer’s satisfaction.
• Must possess a valid driving license and clean MVR.

Current certification or proficiency in one of the following is a plus:

• Access Control: Pro-Watch, Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath.
• Alarm: DMP, Honeywell, DSC.
• OSHA 30 and SST certification a Plus.

Education

• High School (or GED) minimum requirement
• Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred)
