Job summary

Newrez is seeking a curious and proactive Senior Technical Writer to join our Information Security team on a contractor basis. You will audit and overhaul the Enterprise ServiceNow Knowledge Base, producing high-quality documentation for both technical engineers and non-technical business users.

Lead content standards, templates, taxonomy and tagging; write procedures and end-user guides; collaborate with SMEs to validate accuracy; manage a writing queue and update content as processes evolve.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading documentation or knowledge management initiatives.
• Translate complex technical concepts into plain language for diverse audiences.
• Experience with knowledge base platforms; ServiceNow is a plus.
• Background in regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead an audit of the Enterprise ServiceNow Knowledge Base to assess content quality and gaps.
• Define and document KB content standards (voice, tone, structure, taxonomy, tagging, lifecycle).
• Write and publish procedures, end-user guides, runbooks, and articles in plain language.
• Reach out to Newrez employees and SMEs to validate accuracy and gather missing details.
• Partner with SMEs to ensure documentation reflects current processes.
• Develop and maintain content templates and tagging conventions within ServiceNow.
• Prioritize and manage a writing queue with minimal supervision.
• Incorporate feedback from reviews and update content as systems change.
