Job summary

Owl Cyber Defense Solutions, LLC seeks a Lead Technical Writer to steer the Technical Publications team—defining standards, tooling, and AI-augmented workflows. The role emphasizes a strategic view of content architecture and scalable processes.

You will drive the move to a Git-based docs-as-code model (Sveltia, GitLab, Docusaurus) and mentor writers while operating across two environments, including air-gapped networks, with remote work in EST/CST time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of technical writing experience, including leading projects, workflows, or people.

Responsibilities

• Own the team's transition from Word/SharePoint to a Git-based docs-as-code workflow, including tooling, rollout, and training.
• Set content strategy, standards, and information architecture across the team and product portfolio.
• Define and champion AI-augmented content workflows to increase output.
• Personally use AI-assisted authoring tools and model workflows for the team.
• Mentor and develop writers with hands-on training in Git-based workflows and AI-assisted authoring.
