Job summary

Alterman is seeking a Manager, Technical Training to lead the strategy, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of its technical and operational training programs for field supervisors and frontline leaders.

You will partner with Operations, Safety, Human Resources, project leadership, SMEs, and the Learning and Development team to ensure programs are practical, scalable, measurable, and aligned with Alterman’s core values of Safety, Ownership, Craftsmanship, and Continuous

Qualifications

• Experience leading crews and developing employees in electrical construction.
• Strong field leadership and communication skills with craft employees and executives.
• Ability to coach and develop frontline leaders, trainers, and direct reports with practical feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a comprehensive technical-training strategy aligned with workforce needs and business objectives.
• Leads development programs for foremen and frontline field leaders and oversees learning champions.
• Oversees scheduling, certification, and application of learning; ensures content aligns with standards, processes, and customer commitments.
• Establishes program milestones, ownership, and measures of participant readiness; provides leadership and performance guidance to direct reports.
• Coordinates curricula, learning activities, assessments, and on-the-job application opportunities; collaborates with SMEs and operations.
• Measures program participation, completion, certification, and impact; provides executive-ready dashboards.
