Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a senior sourcing/project leader based onsite in Middletown, VA. You will guide cross‑functional teams through sourcing changes, manage supplier relationships, and drive changes across processes, raw materials and finished goods.

Qualifications

• Experience in new product development and stage gate processes.
• Knowledge of microbiology, chemistry or molecular biology.
• Ability to work in flexible schedules including remote, lab, or manufacturing environments.
• Lean/Six Sigma/5S or continuous improvement experience a plus.
• PMP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to cross‑functional projects for sourcing/insourcing/outsourcing changes.
• Manage supplier relationships and change control processes.
• Study product requirements, design testing and manufacturing systems to meet requirements.
• Perform statistical analyses to identify trends and root causes.
• Develop/implement strategies and recommendations with quality and manufacturing focus.
• Write validation plans/reports and support hands‑on testing.
• Travel domestically/internationally up to 20%.
