Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced leader for its PPD Laboratory Services in Richmond, VA. The role manages group leaders, scientists, and technologists, directing scheduling, resource planning, and process improvements to drive quality and efficiency in clinical laboratory operations.

You will analyze data for QA, support audits, and guide clients on analytical and regulatory requirements while coordinating with senior management on strategic initiatives and business

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management responsibility
• Proven leadership skills
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and fiscal management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to provide guidance to clients on analytical issues and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assists group leaders, scientists, and medical technologists in laboratory operations.
• Plans, directs and implements improvements to increase efficiency, productivity and quality.
• Provides resource utilization predictions for a department (1–3 months).
• Interacts with clients on proposals, scope of work and pricing.
• Manages prioritization of tasks and resources.
• Reviews data for quality and compliance with SOPs and regulations.
• Supports technical sales and marketing activities.
