Job summary

HP Fairfield is seeking a Project Manager to oversee upfit projects for plow and truck equipment. You will coordinate contract review, define technical requirements, and engage customers throughout the lifecycle to ensure successful outcomes.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing, maintaining schedules, quality, and customer satisfaction while guiding production and project closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or related technical field.
• 7–10 years of heavy equipment work experience and leadership of teams.
• Strong technical experience including hydraulics, electrical, metal welding.
• ERP systems experience, with JD Edwards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and execution of assigned upfit projects; be the primary customer contact on technical matters.
• Partner with sales during pre-award to validate requirements and support feasible customer solutions.
• Collaborate with customers to define and finalize technical specifications; ensure document clarity.
• Ensure project readiness for manufacturing by coordinating BOMs, schedules, layouts, VINs, and docs.
• Serve as liaison among Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Customers.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues to maintain schedules and quality.
• Provide ongoing technical guidance to Production throughout upfit and manufacturing.
• Deliver all project outputs on time and in accordance with contracts and company standards.
