Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of experience inspecting military or civilian equipment/vehicles.
• Two years of supervisory experience or three years civilian shop supervision.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment and theory for cranes, vehicles, generators, heavy equipment.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of GCSS-Army.
• Proficient with computers and MS Office.
• Collaborative work style and good judgment.
• Understanding of maintenance policies and ability to analyze programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all automotive/equipment maintenance inspections and lead a team.
• Ensure repairs stay within maintenance expenditure limits (MEL).
• Prepare procurement documents and monitor LIS data entry.
• Maintain accurate records and reports; develop SOPs and work instructions.
• Apply technical manuals and directives to inspections across systems (body, chassis, powertrain, etc.).
• Supervise, train, and evaluate inspection staff; assign workloads and enforce safety rules.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
