The position is remote for a 6-month contract with a competitive PAYE day rate and flexible holiday pay. Active SC clearance would be useful, and IR35 status is Inside, with 37 hours per week.

Lead Technical Architect – AI & Cloud

We are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Architect to provide technical leadership for the development of secure, scalable AI platforms and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and deliver AI opportunities, including AI-assisted and agentic workflows.
• Lead multi-cloud architecture, cloud landing zones, microservices and systems integration.
• Define technical strategy, architectural standards, roadmaps and security controls.
• Ensure robust AI governance, risk management, data protection and cyber security assurance.
• Engage senior stakeholders, communicate complex technical concepts and guide delivery teams.

Essential Experience:

• Proven expertise in multi-cloud architecture, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience configuring VPC Service Controls and implementing secure cloud environments.
• Strong AI architecture experience, including identifying opportunities and delivering practical solutions.
• Expertise in cloud security, identity and access management, and architectural governance.
• Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
