Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Technical Applications Manager to bridge engineering, automation, and field support in demanding industrial settings.

The role involves leading design, troubleshooting, and customer-facing solutions that improve reliability and performance of gas detection and control systems. You will collaborate with engineering and sales teams, design practical technical solutions, and provide on-site commissioning and training to customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in applications engineering, controls, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with installations, startup, commissioning, and field support.
• Experience programming/troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and/or IDEC PLCs and HMIs.
• Solid knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP and industrial networks.
• Experience with 4–20mA, 0–5V, 0–10V, and instrumentation.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical resource for gas detection, automation, and control systems.
• Lead system design: control architecture, automation strategies, and integration.
• Configure, program, troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Manage projects from concept through testing, installation, startup, and commissioning.
• Provide on-site commissioning and technical support at customer facilities.
• Develop proposals, system documentation, and manuals.
• Mentor application engineers and drive improvement initiatives.
