Job summary
RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC seeks an Assistant Technical Applications Manager to bridge engineering, automation, and field support for industrial gas detection and control systems. You will lead design, troubleshooting, and customer training, coordinate field services, and drive product improvements with cross-functional teams.
This hands-on role involves working with PLCs/HMIs, industrial networks, and instrumentation in demanding environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with installations, startup, commissioning, and on-site support.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs/HMIs (Allen-Bradley, IDEC) preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Modbus and industrial signaling (4–20mA, 0–10V, relay logic).
- Excellent communication and ability to lead technical discussions.
Responsibilities
- Lead system design activities including control architecture and automation strategies.
- Configure, program, troubleshoot, and support PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
- Manage technical projects from concept to commissioning and startup.
- Provide on-site commissioning, startup assistance, troubleshooting, and support.
- Develop technical proposals, system documentation, and operating manuals.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
