Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking an experienced Assistant Technical Applications Manager for industrial gas detection, automation, and control systems. This hands-on role blends engineering with field support, requiring you to design solutions, troubleshoot equipment, and train customers in real-world settings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in applications engineering, controls or related environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with industrial installations, commissioning, and field support.
• Experience programming/troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and/or IDEC PLCs and HMIs.
• Strong knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP and industrial signals like 4–20mA, 0–5V, 0–10V.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical resource for gas detection, automation, and control system applications.
• Lead system design including architecture, automation, communications, and instrumentation.
• Configure, program, troubleshoot, and support PLCs, HMIs, networks, and communications.
• Manage projects from concept to commissioning and field support.
• Develop technical proposals, system docs, and operating manuals.
• Provide on-site commissioning, training, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Mentor application engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
