Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Operations Engineer – Technical Document Control in Bee Cave, TX. Hybrid: four days in office and one remote day per week, with flexibility for a second remote day.

You will oversee engineering documentation, drawing reviews, revision management, and coordination among customers, engineering teams, and manufacturing partners. Leadership in document control processes is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, technical document control, or manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to interpret and review electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and fabrication drawings.
• Strong knowledge of revision control and engineering change management.
• Familiarity with ANSI/ASME, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and UL standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies across drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and coordination across engineering, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to facilities or sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead document control activities for drawings, BOMs, submittals, and revisions.
• Review electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and fabrication drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee engineering change management, redlines, and as-built documentation.
• Develop and maintain document control procedures, templates, naming conventions, and checklists.
• Train and guide engineering and project teams on documentation requirements and revision control.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between customer specs, drawings, and manufacturing docs.
• Monitor document status, review cycles, and submittal deadlines; track revision histories.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce documentation errors and project delays.
• Coordinate technical communications between customers, engineers, and manufacturing partners.
• Ensure documentation practices align with quality requirements and internal standards.
