Job summary

Joyoflearningcenter in Knoxville is seeking experienced Lead Teachers to join our play-based program. You will plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities to promote development from infancy to school age and prepare children for kindergarten.

You will maintain open communication with parents via our Classroom Management system; Lead Teachers oversee classroom tasks and assist the Director in facility management.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of relevant experience in an Early Childhood Educational Institute.
• Fulfill age requirement of 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities to promote development from infancy to school age.
• Prepare children for kindergarten using the provided curriculum.
• Assist in daily care such as mealtime, potty training, changing, and nap time.
• Maintain open communication with parents and team members via Classroom Management system.
• Oversee classroom management and daily tasks of junior team members; assist Director as directed.

What you bring as a Team Member:

All Lead Teachers are expected to plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities designed to promote the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of children. You will prepare children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education from infancy to school age using the provided curriculum. You will also assist in daily care such as mealtime, potty training, changing, and nap time. You will maintain interactive and open communication with parents and other team members using our Classroom Management system. Lead Teachers will oversee classroom management and the daily tasks of junior team members. You will also assist the Assistant Director and Director in classroom and facility management as directed.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have 1 year of relevant experience working in an Early Childhood Educational Institute.

Pay: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, based on education and experience
