Job summary
The Child Development Laboratory at the University of Illinois is seeking a Head Teacher for a Toddlers 2 classroom as part of the Academic Professional track. This 100% full-time position is anticipated to begin after 11/16/2026 on the Champaign-Urbana campus, with a salary range of $46,203 to $48,000 per year.

Qualifications
- B.S. in Child Development or related field with preschool/day care teaching experience.
- M.S. preferred but not required; experience in higher education lab settings is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom operations and coordinate programming for a preschool class.
- Develop and implement curricula based on development assessments and goals.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers, staff and interns.
- Communicate progress and plans with parents and the Associate Director.
- Conduct evaluations and help ensure licensing and accreditation standards.
