Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience (Special Education preferred).
• Preferred: Special Education licensure.
• Criminal Background Check required.
• Must obtain MTEL and SEI endorsements within the first year (financial support provided).
• Computer literacy and familiarity with Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead teacher for 1–4 content areas based on IEP goals.
• Create and internalize daily lesson plans, rubrics, and assessments.
• Modify standards to meet student needs and align with IEPs.
• Set ambitious goals and secure resources to meet them.
• Use best practices for special education to deliver rigorous instruction.
• Infuse core values into daily lessons and school practices.
• Collaborate with psychologists to develop trauma-informed supports.
• Collaborate with counselors and teams to implement behavior supports.
• Lead 504 and IEP processes for all students in the classroom.
• Perform coverage and related duties as needed.
• Engage families through regular communication to support student progress.
