Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher to coach and mentor fellow teachers, implement our curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing learning environment. You will partner with parents to support each child’s growth and contribute to center goals around enrollment and accreditation.

The role requires CDA credential or eligibility, 2–3 years in early childhood education, and the ability to lift 40 pounds. Illinois hires include a 15% premium where applicable.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic classroom
• Possess active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
• Approved state trainer preferred
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors/outdoors
• Read, write, understand and speak English to communicate with children and parents

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum consistent with each child’s needs
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education
• Support center success by collaborating with staff and leadership to achieve enrollment, accreditation and engagement goals
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
