Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher to support children’s learning in a nurturing classroom. You will mentor peers, implement the center’s curriculum, and collaborate with families and staff to achieve enrollment and accreditation goals.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills; ability to multi-task
• Active CDA credential or eligible for NAEYC candidacy
• Approved state trainer (preferred)
• 2–3 years of early childhood education experience
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• State-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to use a computer; lift 40 pounds; work indoors/outdoors
• Physically active with good vision/hearing to supervise children
• English proficiency to communicate with children and their parents

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
• Support your center's success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
