Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies in Chicago seeks a Lead Teacher to guide a classroom where children explore and grow with supportive guidance. You will mentor teachers, implement the curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing space that fosters learning.

You’ll partner with families to support children’s education and care, while collaborating with center staff to achieve enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals and build strong community connections.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and strong organizational skills.
• CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy.
• Approved state trainer preferred.
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.
