Job summary

Arkids Pediatric Day Centers is seeking a Lead Teacher/ECDS to oversee a classroom and supervise technicians while acting as the Early Childhood Developmental Specialist. The role ensures all required classroom documentation, including the annual Individualized Treatment Plan, is timely and accurate, and supports habilitation services across cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and motor domains.

The successful candidate will maintain compliance with licensing requirements, lead classroom

Qualifications

• BSE in Early Childhood Education or a bachelor’s degree and one of: Arkansas ECE or ECE Special Education certification, or a Child Development Associate certificate, or birth-to-preK credential.
• Experience with children with special needs and 12 hours of related college coursework required.
• Clear background checks including criminal and child maltreatment background checks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Arkids policies and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate adult-to-child ratios and supervise classroom staff.
• Ensure Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) are implemented and goals are developed.
• Review lesson plans with Classroom Techs and ensure billing accuracy in Aspyre.
• Promote child development in cognition, communication, social-emotional, motor, and adaptive skills.
• Maintain health and safety guidelines and provide a positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and visitors.
