Job summary

The Goddard School located at Eagan, MN is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum using Wonder of Learning®. Lead daily activities, foster a nurturing environment, and collaborate with a supportive team to guide young children.

You will partner with families, maintain open communication, and participate in ongoing professional development to grow your teaching skills and support children’s early learning journey.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with young children in licensed childcare/preschool setting preferred.
• Has completed state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling of children.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Family Communication: Maintain open, effective communication with families and guardians.
• Health and Safety: Supervise children to uphold health and safety standards.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
• Assessment and Documentation: Observe and document children’s learning to share insights with families.
• Team Collaboration: Support Assistant and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative team.
• Behavior Guidance: Model positive guidance for social-emotional growth.
