Job summary

Horizons for Homeless Children is seeking a Supervising Teacher to lead a classroom in Roxbury, MA. The role involves daily supervision, staff development, and collaboration with the Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education Programs.

This is a 40-hour, full-time, on-site position at the Edgerley Family Horizons Center. The Supervising Teacher will implement trauma-informed practices, develop Individual Learning Plans, and ensure strong family engagement while upholding Horizons’ policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience in an NAEYC Accredited program preferred.
• Demonstrated success in supervision strongly preferred.
• Department of EEC Lead Teacher qualification required.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff supervision and performance reviews of classroom Teachers.
• Lead curriculum design and trauma-informed classroom practices.
• Oversee communications with families and progress reporting.
