Job summary

The Ohio State University Child Care Program at Ackerman Rd seeks a Lead Teacher to supervise daily and long-term planning for the classroom, ensuring each child’s social, emotional, physical, and educational needs are met in alignment with our philosophy and state licensing. You will manage paperwork, staff training, and collaboration with parents and the support team.

The role emphasizes health, safety, CACFP meal counting, and active participation in professional development and center-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Two to four years of relevant experience is preferred.
• An advanced degree in a relevant field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily and long-term planning for the classroom with the support team.
• Ensure the social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of children are met per center philosophy, curriculum, policies and state licensing rules.
• Manage classroom operations including paperwork, staff training, evaluations, and problem-solving with staff and parents.
• Implement health, safety, and security processes such as CACFP meal counting; participate in professional development and center/university teams.
