Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Teacher/Administrator to join our family childcare program! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children 12 months to 3 years old.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, develops and implements weekly lesson plans that fit the
    children’s needs, interests and developmental levels in the program.
  • Is responsible for all aspects of the appearance and management of
    the program showing the children's learning through art.
  • Maintains the quality of supplies and materials in the program
    in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Reports any broken or unsafe toys and properly disinfects toys on a regular basis in accordance with the state regulations.
  • Conducts the program in accordance with Ohio Department of Job and
    Family Services (ODJFS) guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate verbal and written reports to the parents and
    maintain a positive relationship.
  • Monitors and assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the program.
  • Maintains appropriate teacher/child ratio.
  • Maintains a safe and fun learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
  • Must be able to pass a BCI and FBI background check
  • Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Posses or in the process of completing an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Must be able to or interested in obtaining a Child Development - (preferred)
  • Associate Credential (CDA) - (preferred)
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, and Communicable Disease and Child Abuse - (preferred)
  • Familiar with OCCRRA and have trainings completed - (preferred)
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build rapport with children
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
